SHOUTcast هو بروتوكول بث راديو على الانترنت شعبي الّذي يسمح لأي شخص باصدار محطة الراديو الخاصة به على الانترنت مع متطلبات استضافة محدّدة لتهيئة خادم شبكة الانترنت. يتخصص بعض مضيفي الويب في خطط SHOUTcast ويوفرون الاطار مثبت مسبقا كـ SaaS. يحتاج المذيعون فقط الى رفع وتعيين الـ MP3s لاطلاق محطة بث راديو على الانترنت. استضافة مواقع SHOUTcast الالكترونية بالامكان أيضا ادارتها على خطط VPS أو خادم مخصص بشكل مستقل للمذيعين مع الآلاف من المستمعين في وقت واحد. رودت SHOUTcast القطاع السمعي للبث المباشر بشكل كبير لكن يتم تجاوزها بسرعة كبيرة من قبل Twitter ،YouTube ،Facebook، وبرامج شبكات اجتماعية أخرى بالاضافة الى LiveFM ،Spotify ،Pandora، والخ. الممارسة الأفضل هي البدء مع مزود SaaS رخيص من أجل استضافة SHOUTcast مثبتة مسبقا وثم التحسين الى حلول أخرى إذا أصبحت محطة الراديو شعبية مع جمهور مجتمع.
